Conclusion
- Using the FRDC- methode to measure the thermal electric effects is the most important test to evaluate the quality of a converter. The result of this test is the frequency- independent transfer difference of the converter during an AC/DC transfer- measurement at voltage and current respectively.
- In addition to that the measurement of the sensitivity in the whole current- range is a quick test to detect noisy converters fast and easy before unexplainable large standard- deviations occur during a stepup- procedure, when it is used by accident in an area of disturbance.
At low frequencies it can help to separate the sources of noise coming from the calibrator, the output ripple and the converter itself.
